A little bit extra: Hostilics society logo competition

Process
The design process was relatively quick. It was nice just to pin research; rather than printing and analysing. The benefits of in-depth analysis are understandable. However, it was great to get into the execution of the piece so quickly.
Final Piece
Photoshop was used to trace, fill and shade items, explaining the Society's activities and symbolising its purpose. The logo will be used on social media, so the image needs to work well as a circle. A circle, which is a symbol of wholeness, was used in the composition to bring the image together and make it social media-friendly.
My concerns are that the logo is a bit too busy and the text too small. The text is an optional extra and could sit more prominently at the right top or bottom. It could be reduced to the stones, circle and text. The texture could be removed. However, the story and character it holds visually speaks about the Society in a way that simplicity could not.
